Iowa Lemon Law

The Lemon Law in the state of Iowa was introduced in July, 1984 and amended in 1991 and pertains to vehicles purchased or leased in Iowa for personal use on public highways. Certain vehicles are exempted from Iowa Lemon Law, including motor homes and vehicles over 10,000lbs gross vehicle weight, and you should check with an Iowa Lemon Law attorney if you are unsure.

If your vehicle is under two years old or has completed less than 24,000mls, whichever occurs first, and has had one repair attempt for a defect that may cause death or serious injury, or has been under repair three times or has been out of service for 30 business days or more, then you should speak with an Iowa Lemon Law attorney for advice on filing a lawsuit to obtain a new vehicle.
