Hawaii Lemon Law
The Lemon Law in the state of Hawaii was introduced in May, 1984 and amended in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and pertains to commercial vehicles that were purchased for personal use on public highways. Certain vehicles are exempted from Hawaii Lemon Law, including trucks over 10,000lbs gross vehicle weight and motorcycles, and you should check with a Hawaii Lemon Law attorney.
If your vehicle is under an express warranty period or is under two years old or has completed less than 24,000mls, whichever occurs first, and has had one repair attempt for a serious safety defect that may cause death or serious injury, or has been under repair three times and has been out of service for 30 business days or more, then you should speak with a Hawaii Lemon Law attorney for advice on filing a lawsuit to obtain a new vehicle.
